Notify me when SME FIBER reaches my building

The free line check found no fiber on your line yet. That changes street by street across Lebanon, and SME would rather tell you the day it does than have you check again. Leave your landline, and SME watches it for you: it takes one minute, costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

  • SME rechecks your landline against the national network regularly, so you never have to.
  • The moment the line answers "fiber available", you get one SMS with a link to apply, with the line check already done.
  • Need internet now? Subscribe to SME DSL on the same landline and SME upgrades you to fiber free of charge when it arrives.

Notify me when SME FIBER is available

Full name, mobile and landline are required: the SMS goes to your mobile, and the landline is the line SME checks. E-mail is optional.

required. By sending this form you agree to SME checking this landline for fiber and contacting you by SMS when it is available. Nothing else is done with your details — see the privacy policy.

Need internet before fiber arrives?

SME DSL runs on the same landline today, with up to 50 Mbps and nationwide coverage. When SME FIBER reaches your building, SME moves you to fiber free of charge and without a new application. Apply for SME DSL or see the plans.

Not sure what is live on your line?

The free, instant line check on the coverage map and on every town page tells you whether SME FIBER or SME DSL is available at your exact address. The check is run against the national network in real time; it is the operator's answer, not an estimate.

Questions about the fiber alert

What happens after I ask to be notified?

SME keeps your landline on its fiber watch list and checks it against the national network regularly. The moment the line answers "fiber available", SME sends you one SMS with a link to the online application, where the line check is already done. The alert is free and does not commit you to anything.

Why is the landline number required?

Fiber availability is decided line by line, not by town. The landline number of your building or apartment is what SME checks, so without it SME cannot tell when fiber reaches you. If the line is in a neighbour's or the building's name, that number works too.

Can I get internet from SME while I wait for fiber?

Yes. Where fiber has not arrived, SME DSL is available on the same landline. Subscribe to SME DSL today, and when SME FIBER reaches your building SME upgrades you to fiber free of charge, with no reapplication.

When will fiber reach my area?

SME cannot promise a date: fiber is rolled out street by street over the national network of the Ministry of Telecommunications (MoT). SME's coverage map shows where SME FIBER is live and where it is expanding, and the free line check tells you what is live on your exact line today.

What do I need to sign up for the alert?

Your full name, a Lebanese mobile number (the SMS goes there) and the landline number of your building or apartment. Your e-mail address, town and building name are optional.
