Getting SME FIBER in Lebanon takes about 5 minutes online, on a phone or a computer, in Arabic or English.

1. Type your Lebanese landline at the top of the SME home page for a free, instant check of fiber availability at your building — where fiber has not arrived yet the same form continues as SME DSL, a line already subscribed elsewhere is handled as a transfer, and with no landline a photo of the building's fiber box decides.
2. Choose your customer type — Family & Home or Corporate — and pick the plan and any add-ons that fit your usage.
3. Photograph your documents with your phone camera.
4. Type your details exactly as they are printed on those documents, then review every section.
5. Tick "I confirm that all my info is correct" and submit: you get your Application ID and a downloadable summary immediately, and our installation team contacts you to schedule the visit — typically within 7–14 business days where SME FIBER coverage is live.

SME FIBER is live across Greater Beirut and most of Mount Lebanon — Achrafieh, Hamra, Verdun, Mar Mikhael, Gemmayzeh, Sin El Fil, Jdeideh, Zalka, Antelias, Dbayeh, Jounieh, Kaslik, Zouk Mosbeh, Adma, Ballouneh, Mtayleb, Rabieh, Broummana, Beit Mery, Mansourieh, Hazmieh and Furn El Chebbak among them — and expands continually into the North (Tripoli, Batroun, Byblos), the South (Saida, Tyre), the Bekaa (Zahle, Chtoura) and Nabatieh. Use the free availability check at the top of the SME home page: type your Lebanese landline and it tests that number against the coverage database. The answer comes back in about a second, anonymously and with no signup, in one of four states:

1. SME FIBER: your line is SME FIBER-ready
2. SME DSL only: SME FIBER has not reached your area yet, but SME DSL is available now and upgrades to SME FIBER free of charge when it arrives
3. Active subscription: the line already has an ISP subscription, and you can still apply to switch to SME
4. Unavailable: neither service is on file for that line — contact us for a manual coverage check.

Your National ID Card (front and back, as photos) or your Passport. If you do not already have a landline, you also upload one property document: a House Deed, a Rent Contract signed by the municipality, or a Proof of Residence — and the ID then belongs to the person named on that document. Where the line already exists, the ID is the landline owner's and no property document is asked for. Switching from another provider adds a clearance certificate (براءة ذمة) from that provider; a corporate application adds the Commercial Registration, the MOF / VAT Registration and the authorised signatory's ID or passport. Yes. If you do not have a fixed landline, the wizard runs the new-line path and SME requests a new line for you as part of the application. For SME FIBER feasibility you may be asked to add a quick photo of the Fiber Distribution Box (FDB) in your building (and, optionally, a neighbour's nearby landline number) so the technician can confirm coverage faster. If SME FIBER is not yet feasible at your address, you can apply for SME DSL now and upgrade to SME FIBER for free when it reaches you.

Yes. If your landline already has an active subscription with another ISP, the wizard handles it as a transfer to SME and you keep the same landline number. You must first obtain a clearance certificate (براءة ذمة) from your current internet provider, then upload it during the application. Once the line is cleared, SME takes over the subscription. You can start the transfer application online any time.

Where SME FIBER is already live on your line we typically connect you within 7–14 business days of approval. SME DSL goes live almost immediately. Corporate dedicated circuits run a quick site survey first to size the right link, then we move as fast as the equipment allows.

Yes to both. The SME application wizard is fully mobile-friendly and bilingual (العربية / English) — you can switch language at any time. You take the required document photos directly with your phone camera, so the entire application is completed from your phone in a few minutes, with no app to install.

Yes — installation is a one-time charge, separate from the monthly plan price. SME FIBER: 13,500,000 LBP + VAT (includes Fiber Cable and ONT (Fiber Router)). SME DSL: 4,500,000 LBP + VAT.
